You will be required to pass a simple safety inspection (lug nuts, loose parts, etc.)

Each contestant will be allowed to burnout once, no practice runs.

For this slow rolling burnout, no standing still. The amount of smoke and length of black marks left will help determine the winner. Power braking is allowed. The more smoke the better! There will be four classes of contestants, Amateur Class, Pro Class, Truck Class and Funny Car (off road or lawnmower etc. - insurance waived for off road) Awards presented immediately after the competition is over. (This is a fun event, we don't get too serious and in the event there is a tie, the crowd will be asked to decide, by applause, the winner.  The contestant will travel one city block in the designated area. The block in front of City Hall. After traveling one block IMMEDIATELY STOP ACCELERATING WHEN SIGNALED TO DO SO. (AN OFFICIAL WILL COMMUNICATE WITH YOU)

The contestant must be in control of the vehicle at all times staying to the right of the yellow line. If the vehicle crosses the line or begins to fish tale left or right, to an extreme the official feels is unsafe to the crowd, you will be flagged to stop acceleration. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

The street will be closed, you are asked to  line your vehicles up in front of the old Johnny's Grocery where you will be grouped into your class, immediately after the parade of cars is over. There you will receive instruction and a safety inspection. Contestants under the influence will not be allowed to compete.

ABOVE ALL WE STRIVE TO MAKE THIS A SAFE FUN EVENT FOR EVERYONE. THANK YOU TO OUR CONTESTANTS FOR HELPING US KEEP IT SAFE AND CONTINUING THE TRADITION!
